Membership

The Swiss Zoological Society (SZS) welcomes professional zoologists, researchers, students, and anyone with a keen interest in the study of animals – regardless of career stage, country of origin or work, or academic background. As a member, you become part of Switzerland’s leading network in organismal biology. Student members benefit from reduced registration fees for the annual Biology conference, Switzerland’s largest gathering in the field.
By becoming a member, you contribute to and benefit from:
- Advancing scientific exchange across various career stages, including through the "Revue Suisse de Zoologie" and the annual Biology conference.
- Fostering scientific collaboration, both within Switzerland and internationally, such as by supporting the Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques (CSRS) in Ivory Coast.
- Supporting early-career researchers by helping fund the annual Travel grants and the Early Achievement Award in Zoology.
- Strengthening the zoological community through various initiatives and activities undertaken by the SZS.
We invite you to join us in supporting and shaping zoological research in Switzerland and to be part of a community dedicated to the study of animals.
